Launching of three Sets Survey Boats 

Base on the contract between HUNDAI and PT EXPERT-ENGINEERING from the 23.May 2008 the production of three Survey Boats started in the beginning of June 2008.

Each Boat has a length of 18,9 m with a breadth of 4,8 m by a height of 2,2 m and a draft of 1,2 m.

The complete production was completed under BV Classification in our yard no 1 in Batam-Sekupang.

Involved in the whole production process were four subcontractors: as CV AN-NUR for the hull and piping part, PT ELMESESTEK for the mechanical and electrical part, PT BOS for the painting part and CV HOLLYWOOD CENTRE for the carpentry part.

The total steel weight for each boat is around 35 t. With 15 people each day as fitter, welder and helper CV AN-NUR could finish the hull in the beginning of December 2008. From the middle of July they started already to install 9 different piping systems and they finished that work successful in December 2008.

In the middle of July 2008 PT ELMESESTEK started to install the main engine: IVECO with 300 HP, the twin screw propeller and the tail shaft from stainless steel. Together with the main engine they installed a 22 KVA Generator with all necessary additional electrical outfits. PT ELMESESTEK could finish all jobs in the end December 2008.

The painting part started in the beginning in November 2008 and PT BOS could finish it after two month in the beginning of January 2009 by using Hempel Paint.

In the same time CV HOLLYWOOD CENTRE started with the inside accommodation outfitting. For all wooden and carpentry work they also just need two month and they could finish all installations in the beginning of January 2009.

The survey boats are produced for coast to coast surveys without using the very open sea and for special required ferry work in-between two islands in non far distance category. They have to operate under Panama Flag, that’s why it was necessary to sit them on top of a barge to carry them over to Panama.

We could send the whole package over to Panama in January 2009 with an amazing ceremony. We celebrate this unforgettable event together with colleagues, business partners, friends and family.
